Situated in the Southwest corner of the property, the Meadow Room is the largest room in the Inn and features a tall tree on its’ southern end. Many of the plants are shade-loving but the room gets bathed throughout the day with direct and filtered sunlight sufficient to support a large stand of Common Milkweeds, sunflowers, tall grasses, and other host and nectar plants. This room also sports a wonderful feeding station for migratory and native birds, including a heated bird bath and large number of feeders. It is also squirrel proof, of necessity, but ground-feeding around the station by the squirrels is not discouraged. The 506 square-foot Meadow Room is well protected to the north and west by trees and people houses. |
